The Winners of the Open Web Awards have been announced.
Due to my moving and connectivity problems I wasn’t able to promote the voting phases but I did vote on the judges choice awards – it is interesting how voting differed between the two.

In some of the more competitive categories such as Widgets and Niche Social Networks, for both the short list of entries into the voting phase, and the final voting, community support was a vital factor, along with the services taking an active role in promoting their nomination.
The final award ceremony will take place at the Open Web Awards live event on January 10th at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.
Congratulations to all the winners
